Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and ensure the work area is well lit.
- Carefully pry the side molding away from the body using a plastic trim removal tool to expose the old clip locations; work slowly to avoid damaging the molding or paint.
- Remove the damaged or worn clip from the body hole using needle-nose pliers or a flat-blade screwdriver if necessary; retain any metal retainer if present and discard only the failed components.
- Clean the clip mounting hole and surrounding area with rubbing alcohol and a clean cloth to remove dirt, grease, and old adhesive residues.
- Orient the new clip so the retention prongs face outward and align it with the factory body hole. Press the clip firmly into the hole until it seats and the retention prongs engage.
- Align the molding with the newly installed clips and press the molding onto each clip until you hear or feel a positive snap; start at one end and work along the length for even seating.
- Inspect the fit for consistent gaps and secure retention; flex the molding gently to confirm clips are holding. Replace adjacent clips as needed for consistent appearance.
- Dispose of old clips properly and clean any fingerprints or smudges from the vehicle surface.
