Direct-replacement left front cab floor section engineered to restore structural integrity, support seat mounts and stop water intrusion on classic Chevy pickups. Designed for 1960–1966 Chevy truck cabs (requires modification for 1965–1966 cab variations), this stamped panel reproduces factory contours for a precise fit. Built from robust steel and supplied with shop-friendly edges, it simplifies repair of rusted or damaged floors, improves longevity with corrosion-resistant preparation, and speeds restoration with an easy-to-fit design.
Features:
  • Fits 1960–1966 Chevy truck cabs (left front cab floor); modify for 1965–1966 cab variations.
  • Stamped steel replacement panel reproducing factory contours for accurate fitment.
  • Restores structural strength, seat mounting points and resists road moisture intrusion.
  • Edges prepared for welding or plug/spot welding to existing cab structure.
  • Durable construction ideal for restoration, rust repair, or collision replacement.
  • Supplies a time-saving solution that reduces fabrication and alignment work.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 3/5
  • Estimated time: 2-4 hours (typical, depending on rust extent and shop prep)
Suggested Tools:
  • Angle grinder with cutting and grinding discs
  • Spot weld cutter or drill
  • MIG or TIG welder
  • Sheet metal clamps and clecos
  • Measuring tape and marker
  • Wire brush or grinder wheel for cleaning metal
  • Seam sealer and primer/paint
  • Protective gear (gloves, welding helmet, respirator)
Instructions:
  1. Prepare workspace and disconnect battery; remove seats, trim and any obstructions to access the left front cab floor.
  2. Inspect and mark the existing rusted/damaged area; cut out the affected section back to solid metal using an angle grinder or cutoff wheel.
  3. Clean and de-rust mating surfaces; remove paint, scale and weld-through coatings where new welds will be made.
  4. Test-fit the replacement floor section, trimming as needed for a snug, gap-minimized fit (account for front-to-rear and firewall interfaces).
  5. Clamp and tack-weld the panel in multiple locations to maintain alignment; check seat mount and door jamb clearances before final welding.
  6. Weld panel fully using stitch, plug or continuous welds as appropriate for strength and heat management; avoid warping by alternating weld zones.
  7. Grind welds smooth where desired, treat exposed metal with primer, and apply seam sealer to all joints to prevent moisture penetration.
  8. Finish with paint or undercoating as required and reinstall removed components, verifying seat mounts and cab alignment.
