Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, turn off ignition and engage parking brake.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable first to prevent shorts.
- Remove any old hold-down hardware and lift battery slightly to free it from the tray.
- Clean the tray and contact surfaces with a wire brush or rag; inspect tray for corrosion or damage.
- Position the battery in the tray and fit the hold-down over the battery flange or post as intended.
- Install bolts or fasteners and tighten evenly until the battery is secure—snug but not over-tightened.
- Reattach the negative battery cable and ensure all connections are tight and free of corrosion.
- Start vehicle and verify battery is stable; recheck fastener tightness after a short drive.
