A right-hand hard top side weatherstrip designed to recreate the original seal between a removable hard top and the body. Molded from durable, weather-resistant rubber, this seal prevents water intrusion, wind noise, and vibration while restoring proper fit and finish. It offers long-lasting resistance to UV, ozone, and temperature extremes, and installs with minimal tools to quickly return a restored or maintained vehicle to quiet, leak-free performance.
Features:
- Right-hand hard top side weatherstrip for restoring the seal between a removable hardtop and body
- Durable EPDM-style rubber construction resists UV, ozone and temperature extremes
- OEM-profile design restores original fit, preventing water leaks and wind noise
- Simple replacement for worn or compressed seals during restoration or maintenance
- Flexible, compressible profile reduces vibration and improves cabin comfort
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 15-30 minutes
Instructions:
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip: pry out retaining lip or adhesive with a trim tool, taking care not to damage the hard top or body paint.
- Clean the mating surfaces thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or mild cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt, and oils. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new seal on the hard top to confirm orientation (this is the right-hand piece) and alignment before applying adhesive.
- If using adhesive, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the hard top or the seal per the adhesive manufacturer's directions.
- Press the new weatherstrip firmly into place along the channel or flange, working from one end to the other to avoid gaps or twists.
- Wipe away any excess adhesive immediately and use finger pressure or a roller to ensure full contact along the seal.
- Allow adhesive to cure as recommended (typically 1–24 hours) before seating the hard top onto the vehicle and checking for leaks or wind noise.
- Inspect the installed seal for gaps and make minor adjustments if necessary. Reinstall any trim or fasteners removed during the process.
