Tempered door glass engineered as a direct-fit Left or Right hand replacement for Second Series 4058T GTN applications. The green-tinted, heat-treated glass restores window clarity and smooth operation while providing improved impact resistance and long-term durability. Designed for restoration and replacement projects, this piece offers OEM-style fit, reliable sealing in the door channel, and simple handling to get your vehicle’s window back to factory appearance and function.
Features:
- Durable tempered glass with green tint for UV reduction and reduced glare.
- Direct-fit Left or Right hand replacement for Second Series 4058T GTN applications.
- Resists impact and chips better than annealed glass for improved safety and longevity.
- Restores proper window alignment, sealing, and operation in restoration or repair jobs.
- Easy to handle and install with standard door removal procedures; suitable for professional or experienced DIY installation.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 45-90 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, disconnect the negative battery cable, and lower the window (if still operational) to a position where mounting fasteners are accessible.
- Remove the interior door panel and vapor barrier carefully using trim tools; keep fasteners organized for reassembly.
- If present, detach the window regulator or release the mounting bolts holding the glass to the regulator; support the glass with masking tape or a suction cup and helper to prevent dropping.
- Remove the old glass by carefully angling it out of the door channel through the regulator opening. Clean the channel, remove debris, and inspect regulator components for wear; replace regulator if necessary.
- Position the new tempered glass in the door channel, aligning it with the regulator mounting points. Lower the glass onto the regulator and loosely install mounting bolts to hold it in place.
- Check glass alignment and operation by reconnecting power or manually operating the regulator; adjust lateral and vertical position as needed so the glass seals evenly against the run channels and door frame.
- Tighten all mounting hardware to secure the glass, reinstall the vapor barrier, and reattach the interior door panel and any removed trim pieces.
- Perform a final function check: cycle the window up and down several times to confirm smooth operation, correct sealing, and absence of binding. Reconnect the battery and clean the glass surface.
