Instructions:
- Prepare the workspace: park on level ground, lower other windows, and disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent accidental power window movement.
- Remove the interior door panel and any trim pieces using screwdrivers and a trim tool; store fasteners in a safe place.
- Peel back the moisture barrier carefully to access the regulator and glass mounting points.
- If present, lower the window regulator to a position where fasteners to the glass are accessible; support the old glass with tape or a helper.
- Remove bolts or clips securing the old glass to the regulator and carefully lift the damaged glass out of the door frame using a suction cup or gloved hands.
- Clean the window channels and remove debris or broken glass, then inspect and lubricate the channels if necessary.
- Carefully insert the new tempered glass into the door channel in the correct orientation (left or right) and seat it into the regulator clamps.
- Secure the glass to the regulator with the original fasteners, tighten to spec, and remove any tape or supports.
- Reconnect the battery and operate the window through several cycles to check for smooth travel, proper alignment, and sealing; make small adjustments as needed.
- Reinstall the moisture barrier, door panel, and trim pieces. Perform a final inspection for leaks, noise, and correct operation.
