  • Socket set
  • Utility knife or razor blade
  • Putty knife
  • Weatherstrip adhesive or silicone sealant
  • Gloves and safety glasses
  • Suction cups (optional for handling glass)

Instructions:
  1. Prepare the workspace: park on a flat surface, disconnect the battery if removing powered components, and wear safety gear.

  3. Detach hardware and regulator (if applicable): unbolt any retainers or regulator attachments securing the glass to the door.
  4. Remove old glass and clean channels: carefully lift out broken or old glass, clean the channel with a putty knife and solvent to remove debris and old adhesive.
  5. Test-fit new glass: position the new tempered glass into the lower channel to confirm fit and alignment before applying adhesive or seal.
  6. Install new weatherstrip/seal: apply weatherstrip adhesive or fresh seal to the channel as needed, and seat the glass fully into the seal ensuring an even perimeter contact.
  7. Secure glass and reattach hardware: fasten any retaining clips or regulator bolts, and verify the glass sits square and operates (if applicable).
  8. Reinstall door panel and trim: replace interior components, fasteners and any removed hardware.
  9. Check for leaks and functionality: spray water around the seal, inspect for leaks, and make minor adjustments to alignment or sealant as needed.
  10. Final cleanup: remove masking, clean the glass and surrounding trim, and dispose of old materials safely.
