Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and work in a clean, protected area. Wear safety glasses and gloves.
- Remove the interior rear cargo door panel and any trim or molding that covers the window retaining hardware.
- Carefully remove the exterior trim and molding around the window opening using a trim tool to avoid damage.
- If replacing existing glass, loosen and remove any retaining screws or clips and carefully lift out the old glass. Dispose of broken glass safely.
- Thoroughly clean the window channel and frame, removing old adhesive, sealant, and debris. Wipe surfaces with rubbing alcohol and allow to dry.
- If a new gasket or weatherstrip is required, fit it onto the glass or door opening per the part instructions. Apply weatherstrip adhesive where specified.
- With an assistant if needed, position the new tempered glass into the opening and seat it into the channel, aligning it with the mounting points.
- Secure the glass with the original or supplied clips/screws, adjusting alignment so the glass seals evenly and operates correctly (where applicable).
- Reinstall exterior molding and interior door panel. Apply any required sealant and allow curing time per adhesive instructions.
- Inspect the installation for proper sealing and fit, clean the new glass, and test functionality before driving. If unsure about any step, consult a professional glass installer.
