Instructions:
- Confirm part number 4235S GTN matches vehicle fitment and inspect the windshield for shipping damage.
- Park vehicle on level ground, disconnect the battery, and remove windshield wipers and exterior trim surrounding the windshield.
- Protect interior surfaces and remove the inner garnish trim using trim removal tools as needed.
- Carefully cut and remove the old windshield adhesive and lift out the old glass using suction cups; have an assistant if needed.
- Clean and prep the pinch weld area: remove old adhesive residue, clean with solvent, and apply primer to the metal and glass contact surfaces per adhesive manufacturer instructions.
- Apply a continuous bead of urethane adhesive to the pinch weld using a caulking gun, following the recommended bead size and pattern.
- With suction cups, position the new laminated windshield (4235S GTN) onto the adhesive bead, ensuring proper alignment and even contact around the perimeter.
- Press the windshield into place and use painter's tape to hold it if necessary. Reinstall trim and wipers after initial set.
- Allow adhesive to cure per manufacturer specifications before driving (refer to adhesive cure time and safe drive-away time).
- Perform a leak check and inspect for proper fit, alignment, and interior/exterior trim reinstallation.
