Instructions:
- Park the vehicle on a level surface and turn the ignition off. If applicable, remove the rain sensor module per vehicle service instructions.
- Use masking tape to mark the current sensor position on the outside of the windshield or take a reference photo to ensure correct realignment.
- Carefully remove the old pad material and any remaining adhesive from the windshield and sensor housing using a plastic scraper or razor blade. Take care not to scratch the glass.
- Clean the windshield contact area thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber cloth. Allow to dry completely.
- Dry-fit the new pad pieces to confirm proper placement before removing backing. Trim if necessary for exact fit.
- If using an adhesive promoter, apply it now per the promoter instructions and allow it to flash as directed.
- Peel the backing from the new pad(s) and press the pad firmly into position on the windshield or sensor housing, aligning with your reference marks. Apply even pressure for 30–60 seconds to ensure full adhesion.
- Reinstall the rain sensor module (if removed) and verify alignment using your reference marks or photo. Allow adhesive to cure for the time recommended by any included adhesive promoter or at least 1 hour before subjecting to heavy weather.
- Test the rain-sensing function by simulating rain (use a spray bottle) and verify automatic wiper response and elimination of noise or looseness.
