Instructions:
- Park on level ground, engage parking brake and disconnect battery if required by local safety procedures.
- Open the hood and locate the cowl panel at the base of the windshield; remove any weather stripping or covers that block access to the clips.
- If necessary for access, carefully remove windshield wiper arms following vehicle service recommendations (use a wiper arm puller if they are seized).
- Use a trim removal tool or flathead screwdriver to gently pry out the old or broken cowl clips; remove any debris and clean mounting holes with a rag.
- Position the cowl panel or trim into its correct location, aligning mounting holes with body studs or openings.
- Push each new clip into place until the head is fully seated and the clip locks securely — confirm each fastener holds the panel tightly with no excessive play.
- Reinstall any removed weather stripping and wiper arms (if removed). Verify wiper arm alignment and operation, and check the cowl seal for gaps or leaks.
- Close the hood and inspect the cowl perimeter for even fitment. Test for wind noise or water intrusion after a short drive or a gentle water test.
