Instructions:
- Park the vehicle on a level surface, engage the parking brake, and open the hood to access the cowl area.
- Remove any trim or weatherstripping obstructing the clip locations using a trim tool or flat-head screwdriver—work carefully to avoid damage.
- If replacing old clips, pry out the damaged clip with the trim tool or pliers. Clean the mounting hole and surrounding area with a rag.
- Align the cowl panel or trim piece with the mounting holes so the clip can be inserted straight into the panel and body hole.
- Push the new clip into the panel and body hole until it snaps or seats firmly. You should feel or hear it lock in place.
- Reinstall any removed weatherstripping or trim and check panel alignment; adjust if necessary.
- Close the hood and inspect for secure fitment and absence of rattles. Road-test at low speed to confirm elimination of noise or movement.
