This 4-piece left and right beltline molding kit (black) provides a complete set of exterior trim pieces to restore and vehicle’s beltline — the seam between door and window. The moldings conceal and protect the sheetmetal edge, help retain weatherstrip positioning, reduce wind noise and vibration, and restore a clean, factory-like appearance. Built with a durable black finish for long-lasting resistance to UV and road corrosion, the kit is ideal for restoration projects, replacement of worn or missing trim, and improving curb appeal with an accurate-fit design.
Features:
- Complete 4-piece left and right beltline molding kit for full-side coverage.
- Durable black finish resists fading, moisture and road corrosion.
- Precisely formed pieces promote consistent gap alignment and a factory look.
- Helps secure weatherstrip, reduce vibration noise, and protect door edge from damage.
- Straightforward installation using original clips or supplied hardware—ideal for restoration or repair.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30–60 minutes
Instructions:
- Verify kit contents and identify left/right and front/rear orientation by dry-fitting each piece against the beltline.
- Carefully remove existing molding and clips using a trim removal tool or flat screwdriver; retain any reusable clips or hardware.
- Thoroughly clean the mounting surface with a suitable cleaner and dry completely to ensure good adhesion/fit.
- If the new moldings use clips, install clips into the molding or transfer original clips to the new pieces; if adhesive-backed, apply primer per adhesive instructions.
- Align the front of the molding to the body lines, use masking tape as a guide if needed, then press the molding into place working along its length.
- For clip-secured pieces, press firmly until each clip snaps into the body; for adhesive-backed pieces, apply even pressure along the molding to bond.
- Trim or secure any overlapping sections and reinstall any removed door hardware or trim components.
- Allow adhesives or sealants to cure per manufacturer guidance before washing the vehicle or exposing to heavy use; check fit and retighten fasteners if necessary.
