A direct-fit glove box seal manufactured to the ITB 1110 88 specification, this replacement gasket restores a tight, professional seal to the glove compartment. It prevents dust, moisture and drafts from entering the interior, reduces rattles and vibration from the glove box door, and helps maintain cabin comfort and cleanliness. Built for durability and ease of installation, it’s ideal for restoration projects or routine interior maintenance where a reliable, long-lasting seal is required.
Features:
- Direct-fit replacement manufactured to the ITB 1110 88 specification for glove boxes requiring that seal profile
- Made from durable, weather-resistant closed-cell elastomer for long service life
- Seals out dust, moisture and drafts while reducing glove box rattles and vibration
- Easy to install — designed for adhesive or press-fit application depending on glove box design
- Ideal for interior restoration and replacement of worn or hardened original seals
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 15-30 minutes
Instructions:
- Open the glove box and remove any contents; if necessary, remove the glove box door or liner per vehicle instructions to access the seal channel.
- Carefully pry out and remove the old seal using a plastic trim tool or screwdriver, taking care not to damage the mounting channel.
- Clean the seal mounting surface thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol to remove grease, old adhesive and debris; allow to dry completely.
- Test-fit the new ITB 1110 88 seal along the channel to confirm orientation and length. Trim excess with scissors or a utility knife if needed.
- If adhesive is required by your glove box design, apply a thin bead of automotive-grade adhesive or install double-sided foam tape along the channel per the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions.
- Starting at one corner, press the new seal firmly into the channel working evenly along its length. Ensure the seal seats fully and there are no twists or gaps.
- Trim any final excess and wipe away any adhesive squeeze-out. Allow adhesive to cure per product directions before closing the glove box.
- Close and open the glove box several times to confirm the fit and eliminate any trapped air; make final adjustments if necessary.
