The Glove Box Door Emblem – “Chevrolet Custom” – 1969-1972 Chevy C/K Truck restores factory-correct trim to every Squarebody predecessor. Trim Parts starts with an original GM sample, recasts the script in zinc for razor-sharp edges, then copper, nickel and show-chrome plates the piece before hand-painting the recessed letters in crisp white. Stud spacing matches the glove-box door on all ’69-’72 Chevrolet pickups—C10, C20, C30, K10, K20 and K30—and OE barrel nuts are in the box. Slide the studs through the factory holes, tighten, and your dash instantly wears the authentic “Custom” branding that set these trucks apart. Triple-plated chrome shrugs off sun glare, fingerprints and decades of use, while precise curvature keeps the emblem flush so the door opens cleanly without rub marks. Whether you’re finishing a concours restoration, freshening a driver or replacing a missing badge, this emblem returns showroom authenticity and resale value in a five-minute swap.
Auto Metal Direct is a team of true car guys with years of experience in sheet metal reproduction, car restoration and paint/body work. We believe that quality is not subjective! Our mission is to provide the best customer experience for the Ford, Mopar and GM classic car markets - both in products and in service.
Our panels are made from proper gauge steel and include all correct-as-original clips, tabs, flanges, bends and seams. Each time a prototype body panel comes off of a new tooling, we test fit it on a car. The marked up prototype is then used to change and improve the tools, and a new prototype is produced. This procedure might be repeated multiple times but, once the part is finally approved, you can be assured of a quality part.
