This chrome Powerglide column shift dial retainer is designed for 1962-1965 Chevrolet Chevy II and Nova (X-Body), 1962 full-size Chevrolet models including Biscayne, Bel Air, and Impala (B-Body), 1963-1964 Chevrolet models equipped with a tilt steering wheel, and 1962-1966 Chevrolet and GMC C/K pickup and Suburban trucks. Installed on the steering column, this retainer secures the Powerglide shift indicator dial in place while maintaining the factory-style appearance of the column shift assembly. Manufactured to factory-style specifications with a chrome finish, it serves as an OEM-style replacement for worn, damaged, or missing original retainers during steering column restoration or transmission indicator service.
Auto Metal Direct is a team of true car guys with years of experience in sheet metal reproduction, car restoration and paint/body work. We believe that quality is not subjective! Our mission is to provide the best customer experience for the Ford, Mopar and GM classic car markets - both in products and in service.
Our panels are made from proper gauge steel and include all correct-as-original clips, tabs, flanges, bends and seams. Each time a prototype body panel comes off of a new tooling, we test fit it on a car. The marked up prototype is then used to change and improve the tools, and a new prototype is produced. This procedure might be repeated multiple times but, once the part is finally approved, you can be assured of a quality part.
