Instead of mounting onto your steering column, it hides neatly out of sight under the dash or behind a kick panel, where it is held in place by strong 3m velcro strips.
A small wire attaches to the gearshift lever, where a tiny toggle switch is within easy reach of your hand on the shifter ball. You can signal a turn, or cancel it without ever removing your hand from the shifter! USA made with modern diodes, relays, and printed circuit.
