All-new steering gear box manufactured using brand new tooling for superior quality and reliability. Designed as a direct replacement for the original GM gear box with casting number 5698180, used in many 1967-86 GM 2-wheel drive pickups. This unit can also replace Dodge part number 3496910, though the alignment flat may not be in the same location. Features a 16:1 ratio for approximately 4 turns lock-to-lock, offering a quicker, more responsive steering feel compared to standard units. The input shaft measures 0.732 inch and has 30 splines with a milled flat for coupling alignment. Gear rotation is clockwise-clockwise. The casting may differ slightly in appearance from the factory unit but fits and functions the same or better than the original.
