Instructions:
- Park on level ground, set the parking brake, and remove the ignition key.
- If necessary, remove the windshield wiper arms: lift the wiper arm, remove the retaining nut with the appropriate socket, and carefully pull the arm off the splined shaft.
- Use a flat-head screwdriver or trim removal tool to gently pry up the old cowl clips or release the cowl grille where clips are located. Remove any damaged or corroded clips.
- Align the cowl panel or grille with the mounting holes on the vehicle body.
- Insert the new cowl fastener clip into the mounting hole and press firmly until it snaps or seats flush. For push-type clips, apply even pressure until you hear/feel the clip engage.
- Repeat for all required clip locations and verify the cowl panel sits evenly with no gaps.
- Reinstall windshield wiper arms if removed. Tighten retaining nuts snugly and confirm proper wiper positioning. Start vehicle and test wipers to ensure correct operation.
- Inspect the installed clips and surrounding trim for secure fit and proper alignment.
