A direct-fit windshield side molding kit designed for 2013-2016 Ford Escape vehicles. This kit restores the finished edge around the windshield, secures the glass trim, and helps prevent wind noise and water intrusion. Made to provide durable, weather-resistant performance and an OEM-style appearance, the molding kit is ideal for repair, restoration, or replacement of cracked, loose, or missing side trim. Easy to install with common hand tools, it improves sealing and restores the vehicle’s exterior finish.
Features:
- Fitment: 2013-2016 Ford Escape (driver and passenger windshield side moldings).
- Engineered as an OEM-style replacement to restore proper windshield edge trim and appearance.
- Weather-resistant materials help prevent water intrusion, reduce wind noise, and resist UV degradation.
- Designed with integrated mounting clips for secure attachment and long-term durability.
- Easy installation with basic trim tools — suitable for DIY repairs and professional restoration.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-45 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface, set parking brake, and work in a well-lit area.
- Carefully pry off the old side molding using a plastic trim tool to avoid scratching paint. If clips are present, gently disengage them with a protected flat-head screwdriver.
- Clean the molding channel and surrounding area with isopropyl alcohol or mild cleaner to remove dirt, adhesive residues, and road contaminants. Allow to dry.
- Compare new moldings to the removed pieces to confirm fit and orientation (driver vs. passenger).
- If needed, moisten the mounting area or molding lip with soapy water or a light spray of lubricant to ease installation.
- Align the top end of the molding with the windshield edge and press the molding into the channel, working from top to bottom. Engage integrated clips by pressing firmly along the length until each clip seats with an audible click.
- Trim any excess material if required (follow vehicle-specific reference points) and inspect both ends to ensure they are fully seated and aligned with adjacent trim.
- Reinstall any removed trim pieces or fasteners, wipe down the area, and perform a water test (light spray) to check for proper sealing and to confirm elimination of wind noise.
