Instructions:
- Carefully pry or remove the molding or trim panel to expose the mounting holes using a trim removal tool to avoid damaging surrounding trim.
- Remove the damaged or old clip from the panel or body hole. Use pliers or a screwdriver if the clip is stuck.
- Clean the mounting hole and surrounding area with a cloth and isopropyl alcohol to remove dirt, grease, and corrosion.
- Align the clip’s stem with the mounting hole and press the clip into the hole until the head seats flush with the panel surface.
- Reposition the molding or trim over the installed clip and press the trim onto the clip until it snaps into place and is secure.
- Check the trim for proper fit and alignment; replace additional clips as needed to ensure uniform retention.
