Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and work in a dry, shaded area. Remove any interior trim panels as needed to access the old weatherstrip and vent seals.
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip and vent seals. Use a plastic trim tool or a wrapped flat screwdriver to avoid scratching paint. Remove all old adhesive and residue.
- Clean the mounting channel and surrounding surfaces with isopropyl alcohol or a degreaser. Allow surfaces to dry completely.
- Dry-fit the new weatherstrip pieces to confirm orientation and length. Trim any excess with scissors or a utility knife for a precise fit.
- Apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or back of the seal per the adhesive manufacturer's directions. For contact adhesives, allow the adhesive to become tacky before seating the seal.
- Press the weatherstrip firmly into the groove, aligning any trim retention ribs so the seal sits flush. Use masking tape to hold pieces in place if needed while adhesive sets.
- Install the one-piece vent seal, ensuring correct placement and compression against the vent assembly. Recheck fit and trim any minor excess.
- Allow adhesive to cure fully per the adhesive instructions (typically 1–24 hours) before closing doors or operating vents. Reinstall trim panels and perform a water test to confirm proper sealing.
