Complete weatherstrip seal kit designed for vehicles that lack a weatherstrip trim groove (CWK 1110 73). This kit provides a full replacement set of exterior seals that restore a vehicle's original weatherproofing, prevent water intrusion, reduce wind noise, and protect interior trim and body openings from moisture and corrosion. Made from durable, weather-resistant rubber compound, the kit is engineered for a close, reliable fit and long-term performance. Ideal for restoration projects and routine maintenance, it simplifies resealing door, trunk, and other openings to maintain comfort and preserve vehicle value.
Features:
- Fitment: Designed for models identified as CWK 1110 73 — vehicles without a weatherstrip trim groove (verify specific application before purchase).
- Complete kit replaces worn seals around doors, trunk, and openings to restore factory weatherproofing.
- Constructed from durable, weather-resistant rubber for long life and resistance to ozone, UV and temperature cycling.
- Helps reduce wind noise, block water intrusion, and prevent interior moisture damage and rust.
- Direct-fit profiles where applicable; designed for restoration and routine maintenance applications.
- Relatively easy to install with basic hand tools; adhesive-backed or press-in sections for secure sealing.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 1–3 hours (depending on vehicle and number of seals being replaced)
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and open the doors/trunk to access old seals.
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip by prying out fasteners or pulling the seal from the channel; use a plastic trim tool to avoid scratching trim.
- Remove any remaining adhesive and debris from the channel using a razor blade and solvent; wipe clean and allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new seal pieces to verify orientation and length; trim excess with a sharp knife if necessary.
- Apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or back of the new seal where specified by the adhesive instructions.
- Press the new weatherstrip into place working from one end to the other; use masking tape or clamps to hold sections while adhesive sets if required.
- Reinstall any trim or fasteners removed during disassembly, and check door/trunk alignment to ensure a uniform seal.
- Allow adhesive to cure per manufacturer recommendations before exposing to water or closing doors vigorously; retest for leaks and wind noise.
