A complete weatherstrip seal kit engineered for vehicles that do not have a trim groove for retaining weatherstrip. This kit supplies durable, flexible sealing profiles that restore a watertight, airtight barrier around doors and openings to stop wind noise, water intrusion, and dust. Built from long-lasting rubber compounds that resist UV, ozone and temperature extremes, the seals provide reliable, OEM-style performance while simplifying restoration and replacement projects. The design is intended for models without a trim groove and offers straightforward installation for hobbyists and pros alike.
Features:
- Designed for vehicles without a weatherstrip trim groove (groove-less applications).
- Made from durable, flexible rubber compound resistant to UV, ozone and temperature changes.
- Creates a watertight, airtight seal to reduce wind noise, leaks, and vibration.
- Kit is geared toward restoration and replacement projects for older or groove-less vehicles.
- Easy to install with adhesive and/or retainers; conforms to body contours for a reliable fit.
- Helps protect interior finishes and components by preventing moisture and dirt intrusion.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 1–3 hours (depending on vehicle and scope)
Instructions:
- Confirm kit contents and lay out seals to match each opening before beginning.
- Carefully remove old weatherstrip and any retaining clips or adhesive; use trim tools to avoid damaging paint or trim.
- Thoroughly clean mounting surfaces with rubbing alcohol or approved cleaner; remove all old adhesive and debris and allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip along the opening to verify length and profile. Trim excess material if necessary with a sharp utility knife or scissors.
- If adhesive is required, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the mounting surface or to the bulb flange per the adhesive manufacturer's instructions.
- Seat the weatherstrip firmly into position, starting at one end and working around the opening. For groove-less models, press the flange firmly against the body and use masking tape or clamps to hold the seal while the adhesive cures.
- Reinstall any trim, clips, or hardware removed earlier. Wipe away any excess adhesive immediately with a suitable solvent.
- Allow adhesive to cure fully per product directions before closing doors or exposing to moisture. Check for uniform compression and adjust as needed for an even seal.
