Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, turn off ignition, and open the hood to access the cowl panel area.
- Use a trim removal tool or flat-head screwdriver to carefully pry out the old or damaged clips from the cowl and surrounding trim. Protect painted surfaces with a rag as needed.
- Clean mounting holes and mating surfaces of dirt and debris with a clean rag to ensure proper seating of new fasteners.
- Identify each replacement fastener from the 9-piece set and match to the original clip location by shape and size.
- Align the cowl panel or trim piece and insert the new clip into the hole. For push-type fasteners, press firmly until the head seats. For retainers with pins, push the pin in until locked.
- Use needle-nose pliers for final seating if needed, taking care not to overtighten or deform the clip.
- Close the hood and check that the cowl and trim are secure and free of movement or gaps. Replace any additional clips as necessary.
