Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, disconnect battery if working near powered windows, and wear safety glasses and gloves.
- Remove interior door panel and any trim pieces to access the window regulator and glass channels. Keep fasteners organized.
- Lower or position the window regulator so you can access the glass mounting points. If powered, use the switch briefly; if manual, operate the regulator.
- Support the existing glass with masking tape or a suction cup. Remove any retaining screws, bolts, or clips that secure the glass to the regulator.
- Carefully tilt and lift the old glass out of the upper channel and remove it from the door. Dispose of broken tempered glass safely if necessary.
- Inspect and clean the window channels, regulator tracks, and weatherstripping. Apply a light coat of silicone lubricant to channels if needed.
- Place the new tempered glass into the door, feeding the bottom edge into the regulator and the top into the upper channel. Ensure correct orientation for left/right fit.
- Align the glass with the regulator mounting points and reinstall fasteners. Do not overtighten; adjust glass position for smooth travel and proper seal.
- Test window operation through its full travel to confirm smooth movement and correct alignment. Make minor adjustments as needed.
- Reinstall the interior door panel and trim, restore any electrical connections, and perform a final check for rattle-free operation and weather-tight sealing.
