Tempered clear door glass designed for left- or right-hand door applications. This direct-replacement glass restores visibility, weather sealing and safety after breakage or wear. Manufactured from tempered safety glass for greater impact resistance and controlled breakage, it matches OEM thickness and edge finish to work smoothly with existing regulator tracks and channels. Ideal for vehicle restoration or routine repair, it helps prevent wind noise, water intrusion and interior damage while providing durable, reliable operation.
Features:
- Tempered clear safety glass for improved impact resistance and controlled fragmentation.
- Fits left- or right-hand door installations — direct replacement for compatible doors.
- OEM-style thickness and edge finish for smooth operation with regulators and channels.
- Polished edges reduce risk of seal damage and ensure proper weatherproofing.
- Durable construction resists chips and scratches for long-lasting clarity.
- Suitable for restorations and routine replacement; easy to install with basic tools.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 45 minutes
Instructions:
- Prepare the work area and wear gloves. Disconnect the vehicle battery if door has powered windows.
- Remove the interior door panel: remove screws, pry out trim clips, and disconnect any electrical connectors. Set panel aside.
- Carefully peel back or remove the moisture barrier to expose the inside of the door.
- Lower or position the window regulator so the mounting bolts or clamps that hold the glass are accessible. Support the glass from below.
- Remove the fasteners securing the old glass to the regulator. Carefully tilt and lift the old glass out of the door cavity through the top opening.
- Inspect and clean the glass channels, regulator components, and seals. Replace any worn felt or seals before installing new glass.
- With a suction cup glass lifter or gloved hands, insert the new tempered glass into the door from the top, aligning it into the window channels and regulator brackets.
- Secure the glass to the regulator with the original fasteners. Do not fully tighten until alignment is checked.
- Reconnect the battery (if disconnected) and slowly operate the window to verify smooth travel and proper sealing. Adjust regulator mounting for vertical and lateral alignment as needed, then tighten fasteners.
- Reinstall the moisture barrier and interior door panel. Perform a final operational and leak check.
