Instructions:
- Prepare: Park on level ground, disconnect the battery if required for power windows, wear safety glasses and gloves.
- Remove door trim: Use screwdrivers and trim tools to remove the door panel, armrest, and any water shields to access the regulator and glass channel.
- Secure regulator: If equipped, support or secure the window regulator so it cannot move while you work.
- Remove old glass: If broken, carefully remove loose shards with a shop vacuum and tape. If intact, detach mounting fasteners from the regulator and lift the old glass out of the channel.
- Clean channels: Remove debris and inspect channel felt/trim; replace worn felt or clips as needed for smooth operation.
- Install new glass: With suction cups or gloved hands, lower the new tempered glass into the door channel, aligning it with the regulator mounting points.
- Fasten and adjust: Reattach regulator hardware, temporarily tighten fasteners, then cycle the window to check alignment and smooth travel. Adjust vertical and lateral position as needed before fully tightening.
- Test operation: Cycle the window several times to confirm proper seating, smooth movement, and full closure without binding.
- Reassemble door: Reinstall water shield, door panel, trim pieces, and any electrical connectors. Reconnect battery if disconnected.
- Final check: Verify window seals, check for wind noise, and ensure all fasteners are secure.
