Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, disconnect battery if door has powered windows, and wear safety glasses and gloves.
- Remove interior door panel: peel back trim, remove screws and fasteners, and carefully lift panel away using a trim tool to avoid damage.
- Lower the window regulator (manually or with power) until you can access mounting bolts or clips that secure the glass to the regulator.
- If replacing existing glass, loosen and remove the mounting bolts/clips and carefully lift the old glass out of the door through the top opening. If glass is broken, remove all shards and vacuum the interior of the door.
- Clean and inspect window channels and regulator components; lubricate channels with silicone spray and remove any debris.
- Test-fit the new glass in the door opening to ensure proper orientation (tempered side out, correct hand). Place glass into the channels and lower onto the regulator spline or mounting pads.
- Secure the glass to the regulator with the original bolts or new clips; tighten fasteners to the manufacturer's torque spec if available.
- Cycle the window slowly to ensure smooth operation and proper alignment. Adjust glass position in the channels if necessary, then tighten fasteners fully.
- Reinstall the door panel and all trim pieces, reconnect any electrical connectors, and retest the window function and seal against the weatherstrip.
- Inspect for wind noise and water leaks after installation. Make final adjustments as needed.
