Instructions:
- Disconnect the vehicle battery (recommended) and roll the window to a position that allows access to the glass mounting hardware, or fully lower the regulator if applicable.
- Remove the interior door panel: pry off trim pieces, remove screws and clips, and lift the panel clear while disconnecting any electrical connectors.
- Peel back or remove the water shield carefully to expose the interior of the door and the glass mounting area.
- Support the glass or regulator with masking tape or a support tool to prevent it from dropping.
- Locate and remove the glass mounting bolts, clips, or clamps securing the glass to the regulator; carefully lift the old glass out through the top of the door frame.
- Clean channels and inspect regulator, rollers, and seals; replace any damaged components before installing the new glass.
- Using suction cups or proper hand protection, insert the new DT04501 GTN tempered glass into the door channel, aligning it with the regulator and mounting points.
- Secure the glass to the regulator with the original bolts/clips and adjust alignment so the glass moves smoothly without binding; tighten hardware to specification.
- Test window operation by reconnecting the battery (if disconnected) and cycling the window up and down several times to check fit, seal, and alignment.
- Reinstall the water shield, reattach the interior door panel and trim, reconnect any electrical connectors, and perform a final operational and weather-seal check.
