Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, disconnect the battery for safety, and lower the window (if operational) as needed.
- Carefully remove the interior door panel and any vapor barrier or trim to access the window regulator and mounting hardware.
- Locate and disconnect the window regulator mounts and any clips securing the glass. Support the glass with a suction cup or tape before removing fasteners.
- If removing broken glass, wear heavy gloves and remove all fragments from the door cavity and channels.
- Clean and inspect window channels, regulator, and seals; lubricate channels and moving parts as needed.
- Position the new tempered glass into the door opening and seat it into the lower channels, aligning it with the regulator mounting points.
- Secure the glass to the regulator with the original fasteners or replacement clips, but do not fully tighten until alignment is confirmed.
- Manually cycle the window (or reconnect power briefly) to verify smooth travel and proper sealing. Adjust alignment if necessary, then tighten fasteners.
- Reinstall the vapor barrier, trim, and interior door panel. Test final operation and check for wind noise or water leaks.
- Dispose of any broken glass safely and perform a final inspection to ensure secure installation and smooth operation.
