Restore the clean, finished look and sealing function of your 1984–1988 Ford Bronco II with this outer left and right beltline molding kit designed for models with vent windows. These pair moldings secure and protect the door-to-window interface, help align the door glass, reduce wind noise and water intrusion, and preserve painted surfaces from chipping. Built to provide an OEM-style fit and long-lasting performance, the kit is ideal for restoration projects or replacing worn, corroded, or missing trim.
Features:
- Fits 1984–1988 Ford Bronco II models with vent windows (outer left and right, pair).
- Durable, corrosion-resistant construction with a factory-style finish to match original trim.
- Secures the beltline area, aligns door glass, and helps prevent water intrusion and wind noise.
- Improves vehicle appearance by replacing worn, dented, or missing molding for a restored finish.
- Designed for direct replacement installation using existing mounting locations and clips where applicable.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30–60 minutes (both sides)
Instructions:
- Park on a level surface, lower the window glass slightly (if applicable) to access the beltline channel and vent-window area.
- Carefully remove the old molding: pry off trim clips with a trim tool or screwdriver, and remove any screws securing the molding. Keep any reusable clips if undamaged.
- Clean the mounting channel and surrounding paint with isopropyl alcohol to remove dirt, old adhesive, and residue. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new left and right moldings to confirm orientation and fit before final installation.
- If the kit uses clips, align the molding with the channel and press firmly along its length until clips engage. Use a rubber mallet with a soft block if gentle persuasion is required.
- If adhesive or new clips are required, install replacement clips or apply recommended automotive trim adhesive per adhesive instructions, then position the molding and hold in place until secure.
- Reinstall any screws or fasteners and check that the door closes smoothly and the glass operates without interference.
- Wipe away any excess adhesive and allow cure time per adhesive manufacturer recommendations before exposing to water or high-speed driving.
