Instructions:
- Carefully remove the door panel and any window guide or trim that obstructs access to the glass channel.
- Lower or raise the glass to expose the old lockstrip and remove it using a flat-blade screwdriver and pliers; take care not to nick the glass or weatherstrip.
- Thoroughly clean the glass channel and surrounding area with isopropyl alcohol to remove grease, adhesive residue, and debris.
- Measure the channel length and cut the new WLS 100 to the required length using a utility knife or fine-tooth hacksaw; deburr cut ends if necessary.
- Insert one end of the lockstrip into the channel and press or roll it into place along the glass channel, ensuring the vinyl jacket seats evenly and the steel core aligns with the glass bead.
- Re-seat the glass into the channel so the glass bead engages the lockstrip; gently move the glass up and down to confirm secure retention and smooth operation.
- Trim any excess material flush with the door edge and reinstall window guides, trim, and the door panel.
- Test the window operation and listen for vibration or wind noise; make final adjustments if needed.
