A premium hood-to-cowl sealing replacement engineered for First Series CS 1110 47 applications. This seal closes the gap between the hood and cowl to prevent water, dust, and road debris from entering the engine bay and cabin vents while reducing wind noise and protecting painted surfaces. Molded from durable, weather-resistant rubber compound, the seal restores factory fit and finish on restoration projects or routine replacements. Designed for a secure, long-lasting fit with straightforward installation, it helps maintain vehicle integrity and reliability under daily driving and harsh conditions.
Features:
- Fitment: First Series CS 1110 47 (designed to match original hood-to-cowl profile)
- Durable rubber compound resists UV, ozone, oil, and heat for long service life
- Seals hood-to-cowl gap to prevent water, dirt, and debris entry and reduce wind noise
- Restoration-grade replacement that restores factory fit and finish
- Easy to install with common hand tools and standard weatherstrip adhesive
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park the vehicle on a level surface and open the hood; prop securely.
- Remove the old seal: gently pry out retaining clips or adhesive and peel the old seal away from the hood and cowl mating surfaces.
- Clean mating surfaces thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or a suitable degreaser; remove all old adhesive, dirt, and grease. Allow to dry completely.
- Test-fit the new seal along the hood-to-cowl area to confirm orientation and length; trim excess if necessary for a precise fit.
- Apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the mounting channel or vehicle flange as recommended by the adhesive manufacturer.
- Press the new seal into place, starting at one end and working to the other, ensuring the seal seats fully into the channel or onto the flange. Use masking tape or clamps to hold the seal in position if required.
- Wipe away any excess adhesive immediately with a clean cloth.
- Allow adhesive to cure per the adhesive manufacturer's instructions before closing the hood or driving (typically several hours).
- Inspect the seal for even compression and gaps; make any minor adjustments while adhesive remains pliable.
