Precision Quarter Window Molding (Left or Right) QFS 6563 is an OE-style replacement profile designed to secure and seal the quarter glass while restoring the vehicle's exterior appearance. Engineered to align the glass, prevent water intrusion and reduce wind noise, this molding is a direct-fit restoration component for compatible vehicles. It offers a durable, corrosion-resistant finish and reliable retention for long-term performance with straightforward installation for both professional technicians and experienced DIYers.
Features:
- Fits left or right quarter window applications (verify vehicle-specific fitment before purchase).
- OE-style profile for correct glass alignment and factory appearance.
- Durable, corrosion-resistant finish resists weathering and road exposure.
- Helps prevent water intrusion and reduces wind noise around the quarter glass.
- Designed for restoration and replacement projects to restore seal, fit and finish.
- Simple install — compatible with common trim-clips and adhesive methods.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park on a level surface, engage parking brake and remove any interior trim panels that cover the quarter window molding to access the mounting area.
- Carefully remove the old molding: use trim tools and pliers to disengage clips or screws. Keep track of any reusable clips or replace as needed.
- Clean the channel and surrounding area with rubbing alcohol to remove dirt, adhesive residue and old sealant. Allow to dry completely.
- Test-fit the new molding on the quarter window to confirm orientation (left/right) and alignment before final installation.
- If the vehicle uses adhesive or sealant, apply a thin, even bead recommended for window moldings to the channel per manufacturer instructions.
- Seat the molding into the channel beginning at one end, pressing firmly to engage clips or into the channel. Use a rubber mallet or firm hand pressure to ensure full engagement without damaging the finish.
- Reinstall any retained screws or trim clips; replace any damaged clips with new ones for secure retention.
- Reinstall interior trim panels and clean the molding surface. Check for gaps and test for wind noise/water intrusion after a short road test and/or water test.
