This rear quarter window weatherstrip seal (WBL D1107 SWT) is engineered to seal and secure quarter glass on single-wall convertible or vinyl tops that require a seal without a trim groove. Molded from high-quality EPDM rubber, it forms a tight weatherproof barrier that prevents water intrusion, reduces wind noise and vibration, and protects interior trim from damage. Designed as an OE-style replacement for restoration and maintenance projects, the seal delivers long-lasting flexibility, UV and ozone resistance, and an easy-fit profile for reliable performance.
Features:
- Designed for single-wall tops that require a rear quarter window seal without a trim groove (WBL D1107 SWT).
- Premium EPDM rubber construction resists UV, ozone, and temperature-related hardening or shrinking.
- Seals gaps to prevent water intrusion, wind noise, and vibration while protecting interior trim.
- OE-style replacement profile for restoration, repair, or routine maintenance of classic and custom tops.
- Push-in fit with flexible flange for straightforward installation and a secure, lasting seal.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Remove the old weatherstrip: carefully pry out the existing seal using a trim tool or flat-blade screwdriver. Cut out any stubborn sections with a razor knife.
- Clean the flange/channel: wipe the mounting surface with isopropyl alcohol to remove old adhesive, dirt, and grease. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new seal: dry-fit the replacement along the window opening to confirm orientation and length. Trim excess if required, leaving a small overlap for final fitting.
- Apply adhesive if needed: for a permanent bond or on older metal, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel per the adhesive manufacturer's instructions. Many installations will hold without adhesive; use as required.
- Install the seal: starting at one end, press the seal flange into the channel, working around the opening. Use a rubber mallet or push firmly by hand to seat the seal fully into place.
- Secure overlaps and finish: if there is overlap, trim and tuck so the joint is neat. Use masking tape to hold sections while adhesive cures (if used).
- Check fitment and cure time: install the glass (if removed) and verify a uniform seal. Allow adhesive to cure per product directions before exposing to water.
