Instructions:
- Lower the tailgate to its open position and support it to prevent sudden movement.
- Inspect the existing end cap and surrounding hardware. If necessary, remove any retaining screws, clips or fasteners with a screwdriver or socket.
- Carefully pry the old end cap away from the tailgate edge using a flathead screwdriver or trim tool — work evenly to avoid bending the tailgate flange.
- Clean the mounting area, removing dirt, rust flakes, or old adhesive with a rag and light brushing. Ensure the surface is dry.
- Test-fit the new CUR 1130 79 end cap to confirm alignment and orientation.
- Press the new end cap into place, engaging any snap features or clips. If screws or fasteners are required, reinstall them to factory torque.
- Operate the tailgate through its open/close motion to confirm proper fit, alignment, and that no binding or excessive play is present.
- Re-check fasteners after a short test drive and adjust if necessary.
