Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and disconnect the negative battery terminal if removing electrical components near the dash.
- Carefully pry out the vent assembly using a plastic trim removal tool to avoid scratching the dash.
- Note and photograph the orientation of louvers and linkage before disassembly to ensure correct reassembly.
- Use a small screwdriver or pick to remove old clips, bushings and pivot pins from the vent housing and louvers.
- Clean mating surfaces and pivot areas with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth; allow to dry.
- Install new polymer bushings and metal clips from the kit into the vent housing and on louver pivots as shown in the original configuration.
- Apply a light film of silicone grease to pivot points if desired for smoother operation and reduced wear.
- Reassemble the louvers and linkage, verifying free movement and correct alignment.
- Reinstall the vent assembly into the dash, press firmly to seat clips, and test vent operation and airflow direction.
