Direct-fit drag link designed to install at the pitman arm on 2005-2010 Ford Super Duty trucks (F-250, F-350). This steering linkage component secures the tie rod connection to the pitman arm, maintaining correct steering geometry and reducing play in the front end. Built for durability and reliable performance, it restores tight steering feel and helps prevent uneven tire wear. Engineered as a replacement for worn or damaged factory drag links, it offers a straightforward installation for technicians and experienced DIYers.
Features:
  • Vehicle fitment: 2005-2010 Ford Super Duty (F-250, F-350) — direct fit at the pitman arm.
  • Constructed from heavy-duty steel for long-lasting strength and impact resistance.
  • Replaces worn or damaged drag link to eliminate steering play and restore alignment.
  • Includes corrosion-resistant finish to withstand road conditions and extend service life.
  • Designed for easy installation with OE-style ball joint and taper to fit factory pitman arm.
  • Helps prevent uneven tire wear and improves steering responsiveness.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 3/5
  • Estimated time: 45-90 minutes
Suggested Tools:
  • Jack and jack stands or vehicle lift
  • Wheel chocks
  • 17mm, 19mm, and 21mm sockets and wrenches (sizes may vary by model year)
  • Torque wrench
  • Pitman arm puller or tie rod separator
  • Pry bar
  • Hammer
  • Penetrating oil
  • Marker or paint pen
  • Grease (if applicable)
Instructions:
  1. Park the vehicle on level ground, set the parking brake, and chock the rear wheels.
  2. Raise the front of the truck and support securely on jack stands. Remove the front wheels if necessary for access.
  3. Locate the drag link connection at the pitman arm and at the passenger-side steering knuckle; inspect both ends for wear.
  4. Apply penetrating oil to nuts and studs and allow time to soak to ease removal.
  5. Mark the position of the old drag link relative to the pitman arm and knuckle with a marker to preserve alignment as closely as possible.
  6. Use a pitman arm puller or tie rod separator to disconnect the drag link from the pitman arm. Remove the retaining nut(s) and separate the ball joint from the pitman arm.
  7. If applicable, disconnect the outer end from the steering knuckle following the same procedure and remove the old drag link assembly.
  8. Compare the new drag link to the old unit for length and end configuration. Adjust the new link to match the marked orientation if it is adjustable.
  9. Install the new drag link into the pitman arm taper and onto the steering knuckle (or center link) by hand, then tighten the retaining nuts to the manufacturer's specified torque using a torque wrench.
  10. Grease any grease fittings if provided, and ensure cotter pins or locking hardware are installed where required.
  11. Reinstall wheels if removed, lower the vehicle, and torque wheel lug nuts to spec.
  12. Have a professional alignment performed after installation to ensure correct steering geometry and prevent uneven tire wear.
