Premium outer left-hand tie rod end designed for 2019-2022 Ford Ranger models. This steering component secures the steering linkage to the wheel hub assembly, translating steering input into accurate wheel movement and maintaining proper toe alignment. Built to restore steering precision and reduce play, the unit improves handling, prolongs tire life, and ensures safe, reliable operation. Constructed from corrosion-resistant materials and finished for durability, it is an ideal replacement for worn or damaged OEM tie rod ends during routine suspension maintenance or restoration projects.
Features:
- Fitment: Direct fit for 2019-2022 Ford Ranger (outer tie rod end, left-hand/driver side).
- Durable steel construction with corrosion-resistant coating for long service life.
- Restores steering responsiveness by eliminating play and maintaining correct toe alignment.
- Pre-greased or serviceable ball joint design reduces friction and wear for smoother steering.
- OEM-style application for straightforward replacement and compatibility with factory hardware.
- Helps prevent uneven tire wear and improves vehicle safety and handling.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 45-90 minutes
Instructions:
- Park on level ground, engage parking brake, loosen front wheel lug nuts slightly.
- Raise the vehicle with a jack and secure on jack stands. Remove the front wheel to access the tie rod end.
- Locate the outer left tie rod end connecting the steering knuckle to the inner tie rod.
- Mark the position of the old tie rod end on the tie rod (count turns or mark alignment) to preserve alignment when installing the new part.
- Loosen and remove the castellated nut or retaining nut that secures the tie rod end to the steering knuckle. Use a tie rod end puller or a pickle fork to separate the ball joint from the knuckle.
- Unscrew the outer tie rod end from the inner tie rod. Count the number of turns or match the alignment marks made earlier to approximate original toe setting.
- Thread the new outer left tie rod end onto the inner tie rod to the marked position or the same number of turns.
- Insert the tie rod stud into the steering knuckle, secure with the supplied nut, and torque to the vehicle manufacturer’s specification. Install cotter pin if applicable.
- If the tie rod end is serviceable, apply grease using a grease gun until boot is properly seated. Ensure protective boot is not pinched or damaged.
- Reinstall the wheel, lower the vehicle, and torque lug nuts to specification.
- Have a professional wheel alignment performed after installation to ensure precise toe settings and optimal tire wear.
