The Precision Glove Box Bumper BMP 043 is a compact replacement bumper designed to cushion glove box doors, reduce rattles, and protect the latch area from wear. Made from resilient rubber, it restores a solid, quiet close and is ideal for maintenance or restoration projects. Its simple push-in design fits common OEM mounting holes and works with many glove box housings for a quick, lasting repair.
Features:
- Durable rubber construction resists compression set and aging.
- Absorbs impact to prevent glove box door chatter and protect the latch.
- Push-in replacement design for fast, tool-assisted install—no special parts required.
- Ideal for restoration or routine maintenance to restore factory fit and finish.
- Compact profile restores original door alignment and prevents cosmetic damage.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 1/5
- Estimated time: 10 minutes
Instructions:
- Open the glove box and empty its contents to access the bumper area.
- Locate the old bumper on the glove box door or housing. If necessary, remove the glove box or lower the glove box stop for better access.
- Carefully pry out the old bumper using a flathead screwdriver or trim tool. Avoid gouging the surrounding plastic.
- Clean the mounting hole or surface with a cloth and rubbing alcohol; remove debris and old adhesive.
- If the new bumper is a push-in style, align it with the mounting hole and press firmly until it snaps flush. If it is an adhesive style or the hole is worn, apply a small amount of 3M adhesive and press into place.
- Close the glove box and check closure alignment and noise. Adjust or re-seat the bumper if necessary.
- Allow any adhesive to cure per manufacturer recommendations before full use.
