Instructions:
- Lower the window glass to a position where you can access the glass run channel; disconnect the battery if working near power components.
- Remove the interior door panel: pry off trim pieces, remove screws, and carefully lift the panel away to expose the glass and regulator.
- If necessary, detach the window from the regulator following vehicle-specific instructions so the glass can be supported or removed safely.
- Inspect and remove the old glass run channel: cut or pry out any retaining clips or adhesive and slide the old channel out of the door frame.
- Clean the channel mounting area thoroughly with solvent to remove debris, old adhesive, and dirt. Allow to dry.
- Apply a small amount of silicone spray or soapy water to the new channel to aid installation. Position the new channel into the door opening and press it into place, ensuring it seats fully along the frame.
- Reinstall the window into the new channel, reattach to the regulator, and cycle the window several times to confirm smooth operation and correct alignment.
- Reinstall the interior door panel and trim, verify all fasteners are secure, and perform a final water/noise check to ensure proper sealing.
