This 4-piece Glass Run Channel kit (left and right hand) restores the window sealing and guidance in vehicle doors. The channels keep the glass aligned, reduce wind noise and water intrusion, and ensure smooth up-and-down window operation — making them an essential component for restoration and maintenance projects. Designed as a full replacement set, the kit helps renew worn or damaged channels for improved durability and reliable performance.
Features:
- 4-piece kit includes left and right hand channels for both front and rear windows where applicable.
- Restores proper window alignment and smooth operation to reduce binding and vibration.
- Seals door openings to prevent wind noise and water leaks, protecting interior trim and electronics.
- Made from durable, weather-resistant materials for long-lasting performance.
- Direct-replacement design for easier fitment during restoration or repair.
- Helps preserve vehicle value by returning window functionality to original standards.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 1–2 hours (complete door set)
Instructions:
- Disconnect the vehicle battery (recommended if power windows are present).
- Remove the door panel and any water shields to access the interior of the door.
- Lower the window glass to a position that allows access to channel retainers; if necessary, support the glass with tape or a helper.
- Remove any mounting clips, screws, or retainers holding the old glass run channels in place.
- Carefully pull out the old channels from the door frame; note routing and orientation for reinstallation.
- Clean the channel cavity and exposed metal with a mild cleaner and dry thoroughly; remove old adhesive or debris.
- Test-fit the new channels in the door to confirm orientation and routing.
- Apply a light coat of silicone lubricant to the channel lips and glass edge to ease installation and initial operation.
- Insert the new channels into the door cavity, seating them fully and re-installing any clips or fasteners.
- Reposition the glass into the new channels, verify smooth movement up and down, and adjust alignment if necessary.
- Reinstall the water shield and door panel, reconnect any electrical connectors, and test window operation several times to ensure proper sealing and function.
