Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, engage parking brake, and ensure ignition is off.
- Remove the shift knob (unscrew or unbolt per your vehicle's design) and set aside.
- Pry up or remove any trim rings or retaining clips securing the old boot to the console.
- Pull out the old boot and clean the shifter shaft and console opening of debris.
- Slide the new boot down over the shifter lever so the narrow end fits around the shaft and the base seats into the console opening.
- Reinstall any retaining ring or clips to secure the boot flange to the console.
- Reattach the shift knob and test full shifter movement to confirm proper fit and clearance.
