A complete weatherstrip seal kit designed for vehicles that lack a weatherstrip trim groove. This kit provides continuous, factory-style sealing to keep water, dust, and wind noise out while helping doors and windows align properly. Made from durable, long-life rubber compound for reliable weather resistance and dimensional stability, it’s an ideal replacement for restoration or routine maintenance. Verify fitment for your specific year, make and model before installation.
Features:
- Engineered for models without a weatherstrip trim groove; verify fitment for your year, make, and model.
- Made from high-quality, weather-resistant rubber for long-lasting seal performance.
- Seals doors and windows to prevent water intrusion, dust entry, and wind noise.
- Helps maintain proper panel alignment and reduces vibration-related rattles.
- Simple trimming and adhesive installation — great for restoration or replacement projects.
- Resists ozone, UV and temperature extremes for reliable year-round protection.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 60-120 minutes
Instructions:
- Remove the old weatherstrip: gently pry away old seal and any retained clips; cut through adhesive if necessary.
- Clean the mounting surface thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or adhesive remover to remove old adhesive, dirt, and grease; allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip along the channel and over door/window openings. Trim excess material as needed for a snug, continuous fit.
- Apply a thin, even coat of weatherstrip adhesive to the mounting surface (and/or to the weatherstrip per adhesive instructions). Allow tack time if required by the adhesive.
- Press the weatherstrip firmly into place, working in short sections to maintain alignment. Use masking tape or small clamps to hold the seal while adhesive sets.
- Check door/window operation to ensure the seal does not bind. Reposition or trim if necessary.
- Allow the adhesive to cure fully per the adhesive manufacturer's recommended cure time before normal use.
