Complete weatherstrip seal kit engineered for vehicles equipped with a weatherstrip trim groove and metal-framed door glass (CWK 1110 60). This kit provides a precise, restoration-grade seal to secure the door glass, prevent water intrusion, block wind noise, and reduce vibration. Constructed from high-quality materials for long-lasting flexibility and resistance to ozone and temperature extremes, the kit restores factory fit and finish and simplifies door assembly during restoration or replacement projects.
Features:
- Fits models equipped with a weatherstrip trim groove and metal-framed door glass (CWK 1110 60).
- High-quality EPDM-style rubber compound resists weathering, UV, and ozone for long service life.
- Designed to secure metal-framed door glass, minimize wind noise, and prevent water leaks.
- Restoration-grade replacement that restores factory appearance and function.
- Includes corrosion-resistant retainers and/or trim that align with original door channels.
- Easy to trim and install with common hand tools; recommended for DIY restorations and professional shops.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 1–2 hours per door (varies by vehicle and access)
Instructions:
- Remove the door panel and any interior trim necessary to access the door glass and channel.
- Carefully lower or remove the glass as required by vehicle design to access the old weatherstrip.
- Remove the old weatherstrip components and any retainers; use pliers and trim tools to avoid damaging the door channel.
- Clean the channel, glass edge, and surrounding metal thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or adhesive cleaner; remove old adhesive residue and debris.
- Dry-fit the new weatherstrip pieces to confirm orientation and fit; trim excess material as needed for a precise fit.
- Apply weatherstrip adhesive where specified by the kit instructions (if required); align the new seal into the trim groove or channel and press firmly into place.
- Install any supplied retainers or metal clips to secure the seal, ensuring the glass slides freely and seats against the seal evenly.
- Reinstall the door glass (if removed) and operate up/down to verify smooth movement and full contact with the new seal.
- Reassemble the door panel and trim, clean the new weatherstrip with silicone lubricant or dressing to improve fit and reduce squeaks.
- Check for leaks and wind noise on a test drive; re-torque or adjust retainers if needed after initial use.
