Complete weatherseal kit engineered for 1967 models without a weatherstrip trim groove that have the small rear window configuration and black beltlines. This kit restores a watertight, vibration-resistant seal around the rear window and beltline area, preventing leaks, wind noise and interior damage. Made from durable, long-lasting materials for reliable daily use and straightforward restoration or replacement work.
Features:
- Fits 1967 models without a weatherstrip trim groove with small rear window and black beltlines (CWK 1116 67).
- Premium EPDM-style rubber compound resists UV, ozone and temperature cycling for long service life.
- Provides a precise seal to prevent water intrusion, reduce wind noise and minimize vibration.
- Restores original appearance and alignment of the rear window and beltline trim.
- Designed for direct-fit replacement—engineered to match original profiles and contact points.
- Easy to handle and trim for a clean installation during restoration or maintenance projects.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 45–90 minutes
Instructions:
- Prepare the vehicle: park on a level surface and protect surrounding paint and interior with masking tape and cloths.
- Remove the old weatherstrip: carefully pry out existing seal and any retained adhesive or clips using a trim tool; cut sections if necessary to avoid damage.
- Clean the mating surfaces: remove all old adhesive, dirt and contaminants using an adhesive cleaner or rubbing alcohol; allow surfaces to dry completely.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip: lay the new seal in place without adhesive to confirm orientation and length; mark any areas to be trimmed.
- Trim to fit: use a sharp razor to trim any excess material for a seamless fit at corners and seams; re-test fit after trimming.
- Apply adhesive (if required): follow the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions—apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip cement to the sealing flange or channel where specified.
- Install the weatherstrip: starting at one end, press the seal firmly into place along the channel or flange, working slowly to seat it fully and avoid air pockets; secure with masking tape while adhesive sets if needed.
- Final trimming and cleanup: trim any remaining excess, remove temporary tape once adhesive tack is sufficient, and clean off any adhesive residues.
- Cure time: allow the recommended cure time for the adhesive before exposing the area to water or full use (refer to the adhesive manufacturer for specific cure times).
