Complete weatherstrip seal kit engineered for models with a weatherstrip trim groove, small rear window, and chrome beltlines. This kit seals window and beltline gaps to prevent water intrusion, reduce wind noise, and protect interior trim during restoration or routine maintenance. Durable, vehicle-specific profiles ensure reliable compression, long service life, and straightforward installation to restore factory fit and finish.
Features:
- Fitment: for 1967 models with a weatherstrip trim groove, small rear window, and chrome beltlines (CWK 1115 67 PDS).
- Direct-fit weatherseal profiles designed to match original channel dimensions and trim grooves.
- High-quality EPDM/rubber composition resists ozone, UV and temperature extremes for long-term durability.
- Pre-formed sections reduce trimming and adjustment; restores factory look and function.
- Prevents leaks and wind noise while protecting interior trim and chrome beltlines from damage.
- Ideal for restorations, replacements, and preventive maintenance to maintain vehicle value.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 1–2 hours
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface, roll windows up, and protect painted surfaces with masking tape and cloths.
- Carefully remove the existing trim and old weatherstrip from the groove using a plastic trim tool and a wrapped flathead screwdriver to avoid scratching chrome.
- Clean the channel and surrounding area thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or adhesive cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt, and debris; allow to dry.
- Test-fit new weatherstrip sections in the groove to confirm orientation and length; trim any excess with scissors or a utility knife for a precise fit.
- If adhesive is required, apply a light, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or the seal per the adhesive manufacturer's instructions.
- Position the new weatherstrip into the groove, pressing firmly along its length. Use a rubber mallet or soft-faced hammer and a protective block to seat the seal evenly without deforming the profile.
- Reinstall any chrome beltline trim or retainers, ensuring clips or fasteners engage properly and the seal remains seated.
- Allow adhesive to cure per product directions before exposing the area to moisture. Inspect for gaps and make minor adjustments as needed.
