Complete push-on weatherstrip seal kit engineered for models without a weatherstrip trim groove and with metal-framed door glass. These replacement door seals provide a tight, OEM-style barrier against water, dust, and wind noise while protecting door jambs and interior trim from wear and corrosion. Made from durable, weather-resistant rubber, the kit restores proper sealing and improves ride comfort and climate control reliability. Designed for restorations and maintenance where original-style push-on seals are required, the seals are straightforward to fit and deliver long-lasting performance.
Features:
- Designed for vehicle models without a weatherstrip trim groove and with metal-framed door glass.
- Made from durable, weather-resistant rubber compound for long service life and UV/ozone resistance.
- Push-on profile for a secure, tool-assisted snap fit — no metal channel required.
- Seals out water, dust, and road noise while preventing jamb corrosion and interior damage.
- Easy to trim and install for restoration or replacement applications; restores OEM appearance.
- Flexible design accommodates slight variations in door frame fit and tolerates repeated door use.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 1-2 hours (full kit)
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, open doors and remove any old weatherstrip by pulling outward; use a trim tool to ease stubborn sections.
- Clean the door flange and glass frame thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol to remove dirt, adhesive and residue; allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new seal along the door perimeter to confirm orientation and length; identify starting point (usually top hinge area).
- Apply a light coat of soapy water or rubber lubricant to the seal’s inner bulb to ease installation—do not use petroleum-based products.
- Align the seal at the starting point and press the bulb firmly onto the flange, working around the door in short sections and tacking in place with masking tape as needed.
- Continue pressing the seal onto the flange, ensuring the retention beads fully engage the metal edge; use a trim tool for tight spots.
- Trim any excess seal with a sharp utility knife or scissors; seal ends should butt cleanly and, if required, be overlapped slightly for a watertight fit.
- Inspect door closure and glass operation, make small adjustments for even compression, and allow any lubricant to evaporate before final use.
