Complete one-piece vent weatherstrip kit designed for vehicles equipped with chrome exterior weatherstrip trim. This kit replaces worn or missing vent seals to stop water intrusion, reduce wind noise, and restore proper fit and appearance around vent windows and chrome trim. Made from durable EPDM rubber with an OEM-style profile, the seals resist cracking, shrinking, and UV damage while delivering reliable, long-lasting sealing performance and straightforward installation for restoration or maintenance projects.
Features:
- Fits models equipped with chrome exterior weatherstrip trim (verify specific vehicle fitment before purchase).
- Premium EPDM rubber construction resists UV, ozone, and temperature extremes for extended service life.
- One-piece vent seal design restores original fit, helps prevent water leaks and wind noise.
- Works with existing chrome weatherstrip trim and mounting channels for a factory look.
- Easy to install with adhesive or original hardware — ideal for restorations and routine replacement.
- Helps protect interior trim and reduce corrosion by keeping moisture out of vent channels.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and lower or remove any glass (if required by vehicle design) to access vent channel.
- Carefully remove the old vent seal and any retained clips or adhesive using a plastic trim tool to avoid damaging chrome trim.
- Thoroughly clean the mounting channel and surrounding surfaces with rubbing alcohol or adhesive cleaner; remove all old adhesive residue and debris.
- Test-fit the new one-piece vent seal in the channel to confirm orientation and fit. Trim excess material as needed using scissors or a utility knife.
- If adhesive is required, apply a thin, even bead of recommended weatherstrip adhesive to the channel according to the adhesive manufacturer's instructions.
- Press the new seal into place along the entire length, ensuring the profile seats fully against the channel and chrome trim. Use masking tape or small clamps to hold the seal in position while adhesive sets.
- Wipe away any excess adhesive promptly. Reinstall any channel hardware or glass that was removed.
- Allow adhesive to cure per product instructions (typically 24 hours) before exposing to weather or driving at high speeds.
